District export councils
An adjunct of the US&FCS district offices in particular and the ITA in general, the Secretary of Commerce appoints a cross section of seasoned export executives (numbering more than 1,800) from each DOC district to act as a sounding board for the export support needs of the district and to voluntarily provide counsel in limited situations as well as to increase the area's export awareness.
